Tusten energy committee

Since 2011, the Tusten Energy Committee has installed a solar array to power all town buildings and facilities; promoted recycling and the elimination of plastic bags and straws; retrofitted all municipality lights to LEDs; and has become the 19th certified Climate Smart Community in New York State. In 2019, all town streetlights will be converted to energy-saving LEDs as well.
